About IDT ...

IDT was founded in 1980 to manufacture fast CMOS static memories. It pioneered the early development of the high-performance CMOS manufacturing process and continues to lead in high-volume manufacturing of very fast CMOS devices.

Products. Today IDT builds 350 products in 5000 configurations in five major categories:

High-Speed Static RAMs
RISC Microprocessors based on the MIPS architecture
Multiport and FIFO memories and modules
High Performance Logic and Interface
Network Communications Devices

Manufacturing. IDT fabricates its products in two modern plants in San Jose and Salinas, CA, with a new 8" plant coming on line in 1996 in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Markets. IDT's products serve five primary markets:

Desktop computers using the Pentium® and PowerPC® processors
Data communications equipment, such as routers, switches, and cellular base stations
Office automation equipment, such as laser printers and color copiers
Workstations and servers running UNIX® and WindowsNT® operating systems
Visual computing systems, such as the Silicon Graphics workstations and video servers and high performance arcade games.

Revenues.
IDT's sales in the last four quarters were $562 million. When fully operational, the new Hillsboro fab plant will boost IDT's revenue capacity to more than $1 billion annually.

Employees. IDT has over 2950 employees world-wide, with engineering or manufacturing facilities located in San Jose, Santa Clara, and Salinas, CA; Hillsboro, OR; Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; Penang, Malaysia; and Manilla, Phillipines.
